I did my research and doctorate in Integrative Medicine focusing on Fibromyalgia and Fascial Health with the application of Structural Integration. The summary of my research was published and peer reviewed in the IASI Yearbook The 2014 article summarizes the pilot study and the 2015 article is a summary of the results. I presented the work at the Fascial Congress in Washington, DC and the SIMPLES Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You may download the articles below.
Working with clients with Fibromyalgia (FM) is a passion of mine as we explore the efficacy of working with the three holistic systems of the body--fascial, neural and circulatory. Additionally, my research demonstrated the importance of addressing childhood and birth trauma as a precursor for developing the chronic pain that is involved in FM. In my research I share some of my own personal experience in healing from FM.
